Reflection 4 : Ethics of Using Social Media

Social media enable us to connect with people around the world. We can get to know of others interest and share our own. But in using social media, there are certain rules that we need to follow in order to maintain our good behavior and personality.

Firstly is time consuming. Using social media for quite a long time make us procrastinate to do other works that are much more important. It is necessary to set a limit of time to connect with social media. Next, don’t post anything inappropriate because anything posted in social media can easily gone viral. We should be careful when posting any materials online. We are also need to mind or language as it is one of the most important things when using social media. We should observe our language when we are commenting or post online. It is a must to avoid using bad words because it can lead to people having bad impression towards us. Besides that, there are things that are allowed to share and not to share. We need to choose wisely and keep private things that people should not know especially personal information. We have to carefully read the news and identify the sources whether it is authentic or fake. Sharing news that are not clear of its sources can make people confuse and also cause chaos.
